Four weeks. Two age groups. One Fieldhouse. The same coaches who run the Mundelein varsity program — teaching the game that built it.
Every session combines teaching, drills, competitions, and game play to help athletes improve their skills, build confidence, and grow their love for the game in a positive, energetic environment.
Every concept gets installed, repped under pressure, then tested in live 5-on-5. Kids leave with skills they can actually use on Saturday mornings.
Rising 3rd–5th and 6th–8th run on parallel courts. Stations are scaled to age and skill — no kid gets lost in a crowd, no kid gets bored.
Eight campers per coach, max. Every athlete gets real reps, real feedback, and real eyes on them — not a number in a pack.
All four weeks at MHS Main Gym. Same coaches, same playbook, progressively building from week to week. Multi-week registrations get $25 off each additional week.
Every day at Mustangs Camp follows the same proven rhythm — the one MHS varsity uses every practice. Predictable structure, varied content, lots of competition.
Dynamic stretch, partner ball-handling, and a quick coaches' theme of the day.
Four stations of 10 min each. Coaches rotate. Reps come fast — and they're tracked.
One team concept per day — pick & roll, transition rules, help-side defense, set plays.
Real teams, real refs, real consequences. Concept of the day must show up on the floor.
Daily MVP, "Mustang Moment," cool-down stretch, and a t-shirt or wristband to take home.
Run by the actual MHS varsity coaching staff. Hosted in an actual high-school fieldhouse. Built for a feeder program that put 14 alumni on Division I rosters in the last decade.
Eight campers per coach, capped. Real reps, real feedback, no kid hiding in the back.
The same coaches who run the Mundelein high school program coach every camp session. Not college kids. Not volunteers.
Mustangs basketball has put 14 alumni on Division I rosters in the last decade. The system that did it starts here.

None at all. About 35% of our 3rd–5th grade campers have never played organized basketball. Stations are scaled to age and skill so first-timers and travel-team kids both get challenged.
Indoor basketball shoes (non-marking), a refillable water bottle, athletic clothes, and a basketball if they have one (loaners available). We provide t-shirt, wristband, water, and a snack.
Drop off at the MHS Main Gym Lobby B entrance — 10 minutes before start. Pick up at the same door. Coaches stay 15 min after dismissal. Late pick-up after that is $10 per 15 minutes (we keep them safe).
Yes. Siblings are run on parallel courts by age group but share drop-off, pick-up, and snack break. Each additional sibling gets $25 off per week, automatically.
Full refund up to 14 days before your week starts. 50% refund 7–13 days out. Within 7 days, we transfer your spot to a future week or offer a credit toward next summer.
Yes — fully and confidentially. Email coach@mundelein.org with the subject "Camp aid." No documentation, no committee. We've never turned a Mundelein family away over money.
Camp runs rain or shine — we're indoors. If your camper is sick, email us before drop-off and we'll move that day to another week (subject to availability) or credit you a future session.
Camp doesn't replace tryouts — but every camper gets a free tryout invite (a $40 value) for our fall travel program. Coaches use camp to start identifying players for the A and B teams.
